A journeyman trying to navigate his way through the corridors of life, like the rest of you. Being of the vintage I am, I’m mostly found looking after myself by pedalling, bending, lifting and of late, trying to give a little back to the great resource of modern human kind, the Internet.
Bikes have been part of my life for as long as I can remember. I’ve always loved bikes, all the way from my Raleigh Grifter, Raleigh Mustang and onto the much more modern tools that I currently own which I ride to commute and to enjoy both on and off-road. Those rides get me into what I believe to be some of the most beautiful parts of the English Countryside through Surrey’s North Downs and parts of the Weald.
Music rocks my world. My music tastes range from Arctic Monkeys to X-Dream. DJing used to be a big passion, before the scene I was into slowly became less appealing to me, but for the time being I get by just listening to the awesome talent of the artists that are kicking around today.
Favourites to name a few; il:lo, GoGoPenguin, The National, System 7, Snow Patrol, Dzihan & Kamien, Aim, Jazzanova, Fink, Bonobo, Orbital, FSOL/Amorphous Androgynous, Bear’s Den.
Technology provides me with the opportunity to enjoy all of this. I work as an Information Technology Infrastructure Architect for a UK NGO. I’ve worked in technology for 25 years on and off. My current areas of focus are Microsoft Azure, IPv6 and a longing to know how to craft Python and drive Ansible.
That’s a little bit of me in a nutshell.
Peace and Out.
